Classic BBQ Beans

Make a delicious summer favorite even better by enriching it with Ganoderma lucidum! Simmer these BBQ Beans in a slow cooker with GanoCafe Classic and a sweet and tangy sauce for an easy side dish to SHARE. Simply double the recipe to bring to your next summer picnic.

INGREDIENTS:

1 sachet GanoCafe Classic
8 oz hot water
6 strips bacon (cut in 1/2 inch pieces)
3 (16 oz) cans baked beans
1 small sweet onion, chopped
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. Open GanoCafe Classic sachet and empty contents into a mug. Add hot water and stir. Set aside 1/4 cup for your recipe and the rest is for you to drink
2. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-low heat until browned and crisp. Transfer cooked bacon to a paper towel lined plate to drain.
3. Pour beans into a slow cooker and stir in the chipped onion and cooked bacon.
4. Whisk together the reserved 1/4 cup of GanoCafe Classic and remaining ingredients. Add the sauce mixture to the beans and stir to combine.
5. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours for on HIGH for 2 hours. Serve warm.
